Residential Projects - Condominium

Under the Condominium Act No. 10 of 2010, foreign buyers are legally permitted to own apartments or villas within government-approved condominium developments in Zanzibar. Each project is built on a government-issued leasehold (initially 33 years, renewable up to 99 years), offering long-term security and legal clarity.

 

Buyers receive individual Title Deeds for their specific unit, ensuring full property ownership rights — including the ability to reside, rent, resell, or pass the property on through inheritance. This legal structure makes investing in Zanzibar real estate both accessible and secure for international buyers.
